Woman Gets Busted After Driving Drunk To Pick Up Boyfriend From Jail0
The Stark County Sheriff’s deputies observed Kristopher Fox, 23, driving 22 miles over the speed limit on Overhill Avenue. The deputies pulled Fox over and immediately detected a strong odor of alcohol and a 12-pack of beer in his vehicle. He admitted to drinking “a few beers” and flunked a breathalyzer test – .147 BAC. Deputies charged Fox with driving under the influence and transported him to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
News 5 Cleveland reports that Fox was released, but was not fit to drive, so the sergeant contacted his girlfriend, Brandi Rae Coen, 29. The sergeant believed Coen had been drinking and told her not to drive, but she denied the accusations.
A short time later, Coen arrived at the sheriff’s office to retrieve Fox, smelling of alcohol and stumbling about. She told the sergeant that she was too drunk to comply with a field sobriety test and just take her to jail.
After Coen was arrested, her two children, ages five and nine, were located in her vehicle. She later agreed to take a breathalyzer test, which rendered results of .162 BAC. Deputies charged Coen with two counts of child endangerment and driving under the influence.
