Vermont State Democrat Lawmaker Accused Of Drunk Driving0
On Thursday night, a Vermont state lawmaker was accused of driving while drunk. Williston Police suspect that 55-year-old Debbie Ingram drove off of the road and crashed into a ditch. Police say that it was the second time Ingram veered off of the same stretch on South Road. She is accused of previously striking a “fixed object”.
Ingram is a Democrat that serves Chittenden County in Vermont’s Senate. It is believed that Ingram resides on South Road in Williston. Williston Police cited Ingram and ordered her to appear in court in early November. Ingram’s attorney has confirmed that his client will plead guilty at her arraignment.
The attorney also admitted that Ingram plans to continue serving her constituents. Ingram was first elected in 2016. Her term is set to end on January 9, 2019.
