Suspected Intoxicated Driver In Detroit Hits Police Cruiser Injuring Officers0
An early morning crash on Detroit’s east side had resulted in two police officers being sent to the hospital. Emergency crews responded to the area between Moross and Balfour on Friday morning around 2:30 AM. Police allege that a man driving a Chevrolet HHR ignored a stop sign and wound up crashing into the driver’s side of a police cruiser.
At the time, the officers were responding to a home invasion call in the 4800 block of Anderson. The crash resulted in both officers sustaining cuts to the face. They have been listed in stable condition.
The driver of the automobile was taken to the hospital. He is now listed in serious condition. He has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
