Six Suspects Steal $52,000 In Liquor From New Jersey Total Wine & More0
Liquor is irresistible. It can be difficult to hold back your urges, even when you have run out of booze money. For six people in New Jersey, the solution was to rob a liquor store. If you can’t afford it, you might as well take it. On Wednesday, six thieves broke into a liquor store just off of Route 4 in River Edge, New Jersey.
Surprisingly, The Total Wine & More was not closed at the time. The suspects, who were caught on surveillance footage, can be seen utilizing shopping carts to block an aisle. Then, they broke into a locked case and began grabbing expensive bottles of wine. They grabbed a 1952 Tullibardine, Highland Park, and Macallan V5 Reflexion. The group also snagged a $68 bottle of Pinch Scotch.
The 1952 Tullibardine is valued at roughly $28,000. The 50-year-old Highland Park booze is estimated to be worth $22,000. One must ponder why a small-town liquor store would stock such expensive wine in the first place. As for the booze bandits, they sure knew their wine and they certain had high standards.
At this point in time, the suspects remain at large. River Edge Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 201-262-1233.
