Police Identify Suspect Who Assaulted University Of Louisville Employee


Police have identified the suspect who grabbed a University of Louisville employee last week as 28-year-old Wesley Lynch. WDRB reports the victim was in a parking garage on the U of L campus, when Lynch grabbed and instructed her to come with him. The victim screamed and fled to safety, as Lynch began running towards South Floyd Street.

To avoid arrest, Lynch crossed railroad tracks and jumped a fence at the Student Activity Center, where he was later arrested. Lynch ignored the officers’ demands to stop. An officer was injured during the foot pursuit, according to officials.

Lynch was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with fleeing and evading, fourth-degree assault and alcohol intoxication.
