Pennsylvania Two-Year-Old Drowns In Pool, While Father Was Passed Out Drunk0
Sharon Police say a father of a two-year-old was passed out drunk, as the child drowned in the neighbor’s pool. The child wandered a mile away from the home, climbed in the neighbor’s backyard pool and drowned, the Daily Mail reports.
Two-year-old Anakin Gammon and his five-year-old brother, a special needs child, were reported missing from their Sharon residence. It was later discovered that the children wandered across the Pennsylvania-Ohio home to another residence, where the Anakin Gammon was found unresponsive.
The toddlers were gained access to the pool through a fence. Anakin Gammon was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators determined Anakin Gammon’s father, David Gammon, negligence led to his son’s death. He was heavily intoxicated and unresponsive at the time of the children’s departure from the home.
David Gammon admitted to “sipping” malt liquor from a can, while his children played. He passed out on the lawn, according to the report obtained by Sharon Herald.
David Gammon is being help at the Mercer County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
