Intoxicated Woman Tries To Run Over Husband At A Swingers Party

Approximately 10:30 p.m. September 21, Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault in the 100 block of Walter Court in the Bangor Township’s Bangor Downs residential community. At the scene, the responding deputies observed a dark red Dodge Caravan in the parking lot and a woman holding a screwdriver and a man with a laceration wound on his forehead, scratch marks and a bite mark on his shoulders and a bloody lip, according to court documents.

Amber K. Schomaker
The woman was later identified as Amber K. Schomaker 28 and the man was her husband. The occupants of the residence told the deputies they had invited the couple over for a “swingers party.” Both couples had switched partners and everything was going good until Shomaker’s husband and the other female emerged from the upstairs bedroom, at which time Shomaker slapped him and exited the residence.

Schomaker’s husband and the couple followed her outside. She got into her vehicle, accelerated forward, jumped a curb and drove over a sidewalk toward the couple and her husband. Schomaker left, but only to return a few minutes later to resume fighting with her husband.

The couple told police Schomaker had attacked her husband out of jealousy. Schomaker admitted to consuming a “half-fifth of vodka” and said the screwdriver was needed to start her vehicle. She flunked her breathalyzer test – 0.156 BAC.

Schomaker and her husband were arrested and transported to the Bay County Jail. In retaliation for the arrest, Schomaker told the deputy that she hoped his wife was cheating on him.
