Intoxicated Man Covered In Deer Blood Arrested In Scottville, Michigan


Spectators called 911 to report an intoxicated man acting “extremely bizarre” and covered in blood Monday afternoon. Officers responding to the EZ-Mart BP Gas Station in Northern Michigan located the suspect at a mobile home located next to the gas station.

The 62-year-old man who was later identified as Roy Purple charged officers and attempted to attack them, when they confronted him at the front door of the mobile home. After falling off the porch, the man continued to fight with officers on the front lawn.

Preliminary investigation revealed the meat in the man’s possession was from a deer that was struck by a vehicle.

Purple was arrested and is being held at the local jail on a $3,500 bond.
