Intoxicated Burrito Thief In Texas Arrested For Fighting With Police Officers0
This week, a 33-year-old man was arrested after getting into a fight with police officers in Wichita Falls, Texas. The man was arrested at the King’s Food Store on 1818 Ninth Street. Police were dispatched to the scene to investigate a possible theft. Police were notified that a suspicious man wearing a dark hoodie was possibly trying to hide merchandise in his jacket. When police arrived at the scene, they encountered 33-year-old Michael Gran Donahue.
The man was detained inside of the store. Police claim his speech was slurred and he reeked of alcohol. After speaking with a clerk at the store, it was discovered that Donahue had attempted to steal two burritos and a bag of hush puppies. Lucky for Donahue, the clerk had no intention of prosecuting.
Nevertheless, Donahue just couldn’t keep himself under control. He was arrested for public intoxication and put into cuffs. When cops attempted to put the suspect into the police vehicle, he became combative. Donahue allegedly spat on the officer’s arms and face. He also kicked the officer and hit him in the face.
The officer’s glasses were knocked off and he experienced pain. Donahue kicked another office in the chest and spat on him as well. Eventually, the leg restraint strap and a spit hood was placed on Donahue to keep him calm. Despite the restraints, Donahue continued to thrash around all the way to the jail.
The drunken man was eventually charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a public servant.
