Indiana University Pitcher Cameron Beauchamp Arrested For Operating While Intoxicated0
On Wednesday, it was announced that Sophomore Indiana University baseball pitcher, Cameron Beauchamp, had been arrested early that morning. The 19-year-old was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and minor possession/consumption of alcohol. The pitcher was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Center at roughly 1:40 AM on Wednesday.
The defendant will be kept on a 24-hour hold. He cannot post bond until 1:40 AM on Thursday. At that time, he will be released on a $1,000 bond. Last season, Beauchamp played with the Indiana University for 17 games. He started twice. For the Hoosiers, the pitcher played 21 and 1/3 innings
Indiana University Athletics has confirmed that they’re monitoring the situation and will take action after more facts are gathered.
