Florida Deputies Arrest Woman For Riding A Horse Intoxicated0
Polk County Sheriff’s officials say a 53-year-old woman arrested for driving under the influence after she was observed riding a horse down a congested highway. A motorist called 911 to report the woman, who was possibly in danger and appeared confused, the CBS Miami reports.
Deputies dispatched to the scene administered a breathalyzer test to the woman, who blew a .161 level – more than twice the legal limit.
Donna Byrne was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and animal neglect. The animal was transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Animal Control livestock facility.
Byrne was taken to the Polk County Jail, where she was booked.
