Drunk Driver Plows Into Concord Pizzeria On Friday Morning

Pizza and alcohol go together like peanut butter and jelly. Well, that is true in most cases. For a drunk driver in Concord, California, he took that saying a little too far. On Friday morning around 2 AM, police were called to the Grant Street Pub and Pizzeria at 1822 Grant Street.

Once they arrived at the scene, officers discovered a car outside on the patio area of the restaurant. While no one was injured, the vehicle had damaged the patio furniture and the restaurant’s glass doors. Thankfully, the restaurant was opened the same day. As for 24-year-old Miguel Ramirez, he spent the day in jail.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was ultimately taken to the Concord Jail.
