Bloody Facebook Images Lead To The Arrest Of Intoxicated Poynette Man0
A Facebook post drew attention from people nationwide on September 25. The images displayed a bloody mess that looked like a crime scene, prompting several users to call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
A shot time later, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Highway 51, where they found a man in underwear, with blood on his hand lying on the floor. The man was later identified as Kyle D. Tomlinson, 33, of Poynette, Wisconsin.
According to the news release, Tomlinson became irate, attacked and tried to strangle his friend, Jason A. Terhall, when he declined his “homosexual” advances. The laceration on his hand was the result of him punching a window.
After refusing to wrap his bloody hand in a towel, Tomlinson exited the residence through a window onto the front deck, eventually falling onto the ground, at which time he took off running. Deputies apprehended him a short time later and medics were dispatched to the scene. Due to Tomlinson’s uncooperative behavior, deputies had to escort medics to the hospital.
Tomlinson was later charged with battery, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting and obstructing an officer after an accident, criminal damage of property, strangulation, felony bail jumping and disorderly conduction.
