This week, it was announced that a Republican State lawmaker from Iowa had pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. Francis “Chip” Baltimore had pushed for legislation to keep drunken drivers off of the roads. Unfortunately, he forgot to mention that he himself was one of those drunken drivers. On Friday, Baltimore pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated and possession of a dangerous weapon while under the influence.
This week, it was announced that a mother from Tulsa, Oklahoma had been arrested after crashing into a school gate while driving drunk. During the time of the incident, the woman had her 4-year-old in the car with her. Amy Thomas had driven to the Discovery School to pick up one of her children.
In this episode, the QLF team walks you through an abandoned trailer in East Tennessee. It is unknown how old the trailer is. Nevertheless, it seems that the place has been long abandoned.
The Old Gray Cemetery is one of the coolest historical spots in Knoxville, Tennessee. The cemetery was established in the 1850s. It is home to some of the city’s most influential individuals. Unfortunately, the Cemetery is located very close to a homeless encampment.
In this episode, the QLF team explores two abandoned mechanic garages in East Tennessee. The garages have been long abandoned. One is crammed full of tires, while the other one contains tons of campaign posters for various Tennessee politicians, including Bill Haslam and Jimmy Duncan.
This house in Knoxville, Tennessee was constructed in 1945. From the interior, it also appears that it could be used by multiple people. Perhaps it was used as a rental complex at one time? One thing is for sure. The house has an interesting history.
House Mountain is located in Corryton, Tennessee. It is roughly 8 miles northeast of Knoxville. The mountain actually features the highest point in Knox County. The House Mountain State Natural Area was designated in 1987. It consists of 525 acres.
The QLF team previously explored this house during the day. Unfortunately, we didn’t have our flashlight at the time and was forced to leave early. Now, we return at night. The house was supposedly built in 1930. The owner and possibly relatives lived in a mobile home on the property for a little while. The mobile home is now gone and the owner has since passed away.
Knoxville’s Lakeshore Hospital has gone through a number of changes over the years. In the early days, the hospital was known as the East Tennessee Hospital for the Insane. The Eastern State Psychiatric Hospital would later become known as the Lakeshore Mental Health Institute. The Lyons View Drive hospital has since been closed.
The QLF team explores an abandoned home built in the 1930s. The house’s owner passed away several years ago. A mobile home once shared the property. Otherwise, little else is known about this house.
